Positive Behavior Support: A Systematic Literature Review of the Effect of Staff Training and Organizational Behavior Management

The session introduces positive behavior support, behavioral skills training and the organizational difficulties behind sustaining staff practice. Konstantinidou explains the review's inclusion criteria and screening process, reporting nine included studies; three reported on residents' quality of life.

She examines supervisor involvement, responsibility for training colleagues, monitoring and performance feedback. Her review discussion reports that measurable quality-of-life improvements were not demonstrated in the included studies, while leaving the reasons unresolved. Staff skills, behavior outcomes and residents' quality of life receive separate attention.
